At The Rockhampton Grammar School Early Learning Centre, we believe that the early years of a child’s life are full of questioning and curiosity.

In the last decade, we have grown exponentially, from 40 places to a centre with over 179 places. This is a testament to the excellent work our team of educators do every day and the fantastic results we produce for our community.

As we continue to grow our services, we also continue to grow our team. We are now looking for a full-time Assistant Director to help us run our day-to-day operations.

This role comes with a competitive wage circa $80,000 per annum (highly negotiable and commensurate with experience). We are prepared to go even higher for the right candidate.

Make a real difference

In this role, you will support the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations management of our centre and ensure all Educators, Families and Children are welcomed and feel a sense of belonging.

Core duties:

  • Maintain the procedures, policies and practices in the centre;
  • Establish a process of recruitment, orientation and support of staff;
  • Identify and assist in meeting in-servicing training needs of staff;
  • Establish and maintain effective communication systems; and
  • Establish and maintain liaisons with other agencies in the Community.

You will also maintain records, observations and information in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

What you will bring to the team

To succeed in this role, you will possess qualifications in Early Childhood Education and demonstrated experience as a lead educator. If you have previous experience as an Assistant Director or Director, that would be a plus!

Moreover, you will have the knowledge and understanding of how a childcare centre operates and can effectively provide guidance and expertise to our educators.

You will be a proactive and organised individual who can comfortably work in a fast-paced environment.

This role will see you building strong relationships with our educators, the children in our care and their families. This will ensure that we continue providing quality services and that our children are set up for a bright and successful future.

Although not required, knowledge and previous experience using Qikkids software will be highly advantageous.
